ÖTK Via ferrata Koschutnik Tower

The via ferrata to the Koschutnik tower leads to the saddle west of the summit. It has been newly routed since 2006 and now has a rope bridge. The new route is less prone to rock falls than the old one, but technically more demanding (up to difficulty level C).

A marked path runs over most of the ridge from the high tower / Veliki vrh in the far west to the Koschutnik tower. It sometimes diverges a little to the south flank of Slovenia and has some secured sections, maximum difficulty level B. The eastern part of the border ridge between the Koschutnikturm and the Thick Koschuta / Tolsta Košuta is much more exposed. Here some passages require climbing in the III degree of difficulty.
