The Pirknerklamm - a beautiful and very adventurous gorge ferrata in the Gailtal Alps

The via ferrata Pirknerklamm is a very beautiful and adventurous gorge via ferrata in the Gailtal Alps.

Starting from Unterpirkach near Oberdrauburg in the Drau Valley, this via ferrata starts next to two old water mills at a high block in difficulty level C. In difficulty level B and C you follow the further course of the Pirkna. This stream follows a great and impressive gorge in which you can literally feel the power of the water and nature. At the waterfalls with their force and thunderous power you can also hear this loudly. The via ferrata, built in 2007, is very well secured. With its gorges, waterfalls and rope bridges, it is a highly recommended, imposing and simply beautiful via ferrata. It could be dangerous in the gorge at high water or rain.
